　　On August 29, 2007, Huaneng released for the first time the Annual Report of China Huaneng Group on 

　　Sustainable Development.

　　 

　　The report is based on the reality of Huaneng Group, adheres to the unity between corporate development 

　　and social responsibility, systematically elaborates the sustainable development idea of Huaneng, which has 

　　“3-color company” as a core (i.e. “red” company that serves the socialism with Chinese characteristics; 

　　“green” company that focuses on science, technology and environmental protection; “blue” company that 

　　advances with the times, learns, innovates and gets globally oriented), in reference to the social 

　　responsibility standard promulgated by international organization and fully reflects the practices and results 

　　of Huaneng in fulfilling its social responsibility.

　　 

　　The report has 56 pages and contains some 30,000 words that cover the specific measures and results of 

　　Huaneng in fulfilling social responsibility and achieving coordinated development in economy, 

　　environment and society. The main content of the report is divided into four parts: safety 

　　responsibility—safe development, environmental responsibility—clean development, economic 

　　responsibility—healthy development, social responsibility —harmonious development. In a true and 

　　complete manner, the report shows the philosophy and practices of Huaneng in fulfilling its social 

　　responsibility and realizing good, fast and harmonious development to the stakeholders and the social 

　　public.
